Little bit of history..

Currently Emiel’s working within Mediacontainer, a group of young freelance journalists who all work in the media industry. Our work is published in newspapers, online, television and radio.

Emiel worked as a freelance video journalist for the website Trajectum of the Hogeschool Utrecht. Emiel is also co-founder of HUmedia.nl, the community site of the Utrecht School of Journalism. He did an internship at the regional newspaper AD/Utrechts Nieuwsblad, reporting about the city.

In 2005 he developed the first podcast and audioslides for the regional broadcaster RTV Rijnmond. The audioslides where one of the first in The Netherlands, the podcasts were unique for regional broadcasters at that time.

Emiel has been freelancing since the end of the 1990s. The first years as a website builder and nowadays as a journalist and multimedia producer.
